We're ten years old!

We celebrated our anniversary on 14 July.
Cllr Dombey speaks at the event

Healthwatch staff, volunteers and trustees gathered on Friday 14 July in Wallington, along with staff from the Together for Sutton network and local health and care providers. The celebration event was also attended by the Mayor of Sutton and by Council leader Ruth Dombey.

Cllr Dombey (shown above) spoke about Healthwatch Sutton’s work over the last ten years, including helping secure £1.8 million of extra funding for mental health support in schools. Healthwatch Chief Exec Pete Flavell spoke about our current project, which compares the mental health of primary school children now and before the pandemic – results will be published shortly.

In the next year, Healthwatch will be focus in particular on access to GP and other primary care services, patients’ experience of maternity services and also of receiving care in their homes.
