Mental health managers respond to our recent report
We have received a response to our report from South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust, which provides mental health care in Sutton.
The trust managers acknowledge that there has been a significant increase in demand for mental health support since the pandemic. They tell us that they are taking action as follows:
- improving support in schools
- improving the information available on their website
- making it easier for families, schools and professionals to refer young people
- providing the online Kooth service where children and young people can obtain counselling and support
