Annual Report 2022-23: Together We're Making Health and Social Care Better
Our annual report is published as the NHS faces unprecedented challenges. Staff are working incredibly hard, but many Sutton people tell us they find it hard to access GPs and dentists. St Helier Hospital is in serious disrepair. We've taken action to highlight patients' experiences with dentistry, Long Covid and the cost of living. And we're working with other SW London organisations to make patient's voices heard.
- In 2022-23 we heard from over 1,000 people about their experience of local health and care services.
- We published reports on Access to Dentistry and Long Covid, as well as a briefing about the Cost of Living
- Our trained volunteers began making quality assurance visits to care homes
- We began sending out a popular monthly email newsletter
- As local NHS services came together in the SW London Integrated Care System, we employed a new staff member to liaise between six Healthwatches and ensure patient voices were heard in the new system.
